parent & Carer tRANSITION INFORMATION EVENING
Taking the Leap to Secondary School in 2022
Transitioning to secondary school is a significant event for students (and their families).
This is even more significant for our students based on the ongoing challenges they face due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.
Shortly, in conjunction with the Year 6 teachers, Amanda Lecaude will be speaking to your child to assist them with this upcoming journey and alleviate where possible any anxiety they may be feeling about transition.
The school is also pleased to be running an information session for parents and carers of Year 6 students.
The workshop will go for approximately 1 hour - please note we will be starting promptly at 7pm.
Should you be unable to attend or miss part of this workshop, it will be recorded for you to watch at a later stage that works for you
(you must though have registered to attend for this to be an option available to you).
When you register you also have the option to include any questions that you might like addressing during the session
(these will be done so anonymously) and you can still ask questions in the chat too on that evening.
On this evening Amanda will be sharing with you:
what she will be speaking to your child about
the importance of your child being organised
the importance of time management in their lives
factors contributing to a successful transition
ensuring they are prepared as best they can be
tips & strategies on how you can support your child
